Yin & Yang

Poem

It was a summer morning,
When I was wandering,
Alone in the woods,
Under the canopy hoods.

I was surrounded by flowers,
And tree's that looked like towers,
All around me the meadow was ever green,
It was the most beautiful sight I'd seen.

And yet the beauty was incomplete,
Until I saw him, who I had come to meet,
And compared to him,
The meadows beauty seemed dim.

He sat down next to me on the grass,
And just looking at him the surroundings vanished like hand prints in a foggy glass
We talked all day, him and me,
It was all exactly to my glee!

Alas! Our time was finished,
But we knew nothing between us would diminish,
I was reluctant to let go,
But I had to do so.

He asked about our next rendezvous,
And never had my destiny felt so true,
When our hands entwined,
I knew he was one of a kind.

Just as I made myself to leave,
He led me to believe
(when he caught me by the waist and reeled me in)

That he was my yang and I was his yin...
